On September 28th local time, Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Kan stated at the House Operations Committee that the emergency declaration implemented by 19 prefectures such as Tokyo and Osaka, as well as the "key measures to prevent spread" implemented by 8 prefectures such as Fukushima and Kumamoto, will expire on September 30th and will be fully lifted.
