In 1984, in the last semester of high school, the Air Force went to Yihuang County to recruit pilots. With the encouragement of his parents, Deng Qingming signed up with the idea of having a try. He successfully passed various physical examinations and examinations all the way. In July, he passed the college entrance examination and became a flight cadet with excellent results.

When he reported to the military academy, many people in the village came to see him off. The study and training of flight cadets was intense and hard. The environment of Xinjiang is strange and hard for Deng Qingming. In 1985, the whole army was disarmed on a large scale. The elimination rate of pilots was relatively high. Deng Qingming trained harder and never gave up. Ten months later, Deng Qingming entered the Higher Education League with excellent results and began fighter training. Deng Qingming graduated successfully in November 1987 and was assigned to a certain air force regiment in Yanji City, Jilin Province, becoming a real fighter pilot.

In 1997, China began to select the first batch of astronauts from fighters and fighter pilots. Deng Qingming stood out from 2500 pilots and passed the selection.

On January 5, 1998, the Chinese People's Liberation Army Astronauts Brigade was officially established and stationed in Beijing Aerospace City. Deng Qingming also became one of the first batch of 14 astronauts in the Astronauts Brigade.

Man Yanhong, Deng Qingming's wife, has been silently supporting him behind him, shouldering the burden of the family, and taking care of his daughter alone. In October 2016, Deng Qingming was selected as a backup crew for the Shenzhou 11 mission for the third time, but finally lost touch with space again. Astronauts are very mysterious in the eyes of ordinary people, but Deng Manqi, a 30-year-old engineer at Beijing Aerospace Flight Control Center, sees them as close and intimate. Her father, Deng Qingming, is an astronaut.

Before the age of 7, for Deng Manqi, the memory of her father was vague. At that time, my father was a fighter pilot. Because of the heavy training task, I didn't see him several times a year.

After Deng Qingming became a preparatory astronaut, he had to take part in heavy training and could only go home once a week. Even when he came home, his father also went into the study and studied behind closed doors. If she wanted to talk to her father, it was not easy for Deng Manqi to miss the opportunity.

In 2012, Deng Manqi, 21, did not hesitate to become an "astronauter" after graduating from Luoyang Foreign Studies University. In 2013, when the Shenzhou 10 mission was launched, she was working as a substitute in Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. A few days before the launch of the "Shenshi", Deng Qingming also came to Jiuquan as a member of the backup crew for the mission and stayed in the Wentian Pavilion.

Father and daughter have been separated for nearly a year at this time, and they are very worried about each other.
