Apples TouchID may never appear on the iPhone agai

Apple is considering restoring Touch ID for its flagship iPhone model, but despite testing, this feature is unlikely to return to its mainstream smartphone lineup soon. The conversion from Touch ID to Face ID has its advantages and disadvantages, but some users still prefer fingerprint readers. Although people still have strong feelings for the old system, it seems that Apple will not go back on the face ID in the future generations of iPhones.

Apple's TouchID may never appear on the iPhone again

In Bloomberg's Sunday "Power On" newsletter, Mark Goulman wrote that Apple has discussed the possibility of using Touch ID on high-end i-models again.

It is reported that Apple has also tested touch ID and other functions on the screen. These functions have appeared in the report before, but they did not appear in the final product. Others mentioned the experiment of adding Touch ID to the power button, just like the iPad Air 4, but this was not achieved.

Gullman wrote: "At this point, I believe that Face ID will continue to exist, while Touch ID will not return to the flagship iPhone -- at least at any time in the foreseeable future."

Although the chances of iPhone 15 with Touch ID are slim, Gurman believes that the way to arrange Touch ID on the power button can still be used for low-cost oriented models, such as iPhone SE.
